The successful launch of Explorer® I by NASA on February 1, 1958, marked the USA's official entry in the space race. In its early days, the satellite was strictly a government property; today they contribute to the public sector in all areas of communications-including radio. Our partnership with satellite radio leader XM has yielded Crosley Radio's own 'first' - the Explorer® 1 tabletop sound system. This little box has it all starting with our exclusive AroundSound® system. Three ported speakers provide an incredible "out of the box" sound. Talk radio and NPR are there for the asking though if you need more choices add XM*, and enjoy over 170 digital radio channels of commercial - free music and premier news, sports, talk, traffic and weather. Use the portable audio ready feature to hook up your MP3 or favorite portable audio device. All this packed into a handcrafted wooden cabinet with beveled aluminum accents.
