General Terms & Conditions - Ira Wood & Sons, Inc served our customer base for over 90 years by offering top product selection, customer service, and huge discounts to our customer’s. Policies on this page allow us to operate in the most effective manner possible, and are for the good of the entire customer base. All transactions between all customer ‘s, and Ira Wood & Sons, Inc. whether via showroom, phone, fax, email, mail, online, or other means fall under the directive of these policies unless expressly noted on your sales order, and approved by Ira Wood & Sons, Inc. Management.

All new, unused & resalebale product returns/exchanges must be made within 30 days of delivery. (please see below for list of non-returnable products)
- Product damage must be reported within 7 days of delivery.
- If you have been shorted a product or received an incorrect item you must report this within 7 days of delivery.
- When necessary, we notify customers of backorders and out of stock items via email. When placing your order please use an email address that you check often.

Quote – Sales Order
If you are still in the process of shopping or you are not 100% committed to your order, please contact a sales specialist and we will enter a quote for you. This quote will allow you to have your items entered in our system as well as calculate your total and shipping charges. The quote will be emailed to you and we will not proceed until we have your approval. Once you are satisfied with your quote a sales order will be generated for you and your order will be billed and processed. Once an order enters the processing stages the order will fall under our Return Policies, should you choose to cancel. Please do not request a sales order unless you are certain of your order.

Let them choose the gift they want with an Ira Wood gift card. Gift cards can be used online or in store.

Non-Stock Items We will immediately bill your card, and hold a full deposit for non-stock items. If you have a deposit with us, rest assured that you will receive your product. We find this is the most effective way of delivering the item once it arrives into our warehouse.
Special Order Policy Any item that you ask us to order, or items that show lead times greater than "usually ships in 1-2 business days" are considered special order. We will immediately bill your card, and hold a full deposit for these items. Returns, Exchanges or Cancellation of special orders will carry a minimum 25% restocking fee (only if deemed returnable by management). Not all special or non-stock items can be cancelled. Many special order items, once ordered, are made special for you and the manufacturing company will not cancel your order. If your item was customizable and manufactured for your specific use that item will carry a minimum 50% return fee.
Timeliness Policy We attempt to ship every order as quickly as possible, however we cannot guarantee any delivery times. We notify customers of backorders and out of stock items via email. Please do not schedule a designer, plumber or other professional until you have your products in hand. Ordering an expedited shipping method does not guarantee delivery time. Product Availabilities are an estimate and are dependent on the manufacturer. Ira Wood & Sons is not liable for manufacturing delays.
Sales Tax

No sales tax is collected outside of Kentucky. Kentucky residents must add 6.0% sales tax. Pricing Errors Please be advised that due to human error, our site may list incorrect pricing. While we make every effort to ensure these mistakes do not happen, Ira Wood & Sons, Inc. cannot honor incorrect prices. In the event an error is found, we will inform the customer BEFORE the order is processed. At that time the customer will have the option to place the order with the correct pricing, or to cancel their order completely.
Price Matching Policy
 We offer everyday low prices on all items while providing technical assistance, careful packaging, excellent inventory and many other value-added services. If you find a better price on an item we will attempt to match the price and provide you with the lowest total price for the product & service you desire.
To honor our price match policy we require the following:
>Requests for price matching must be approved prior to order confirmation. In no case will a price match be honored after an order has been placed and confirmed or fufilled.
> Proof of the price: (faxed quote, website, copy of ad)
> Competitor's availability (must be the same, or better)
>Price match requests must be made prior to order processing & fulfillment.
>Price match requests/refunds will not be honored after a sale has processed. Price match cannot be given if after order fulfillment an item is reduced or you find a better price elsewhere.
> Product must be identical. No like types, or similar items.
Price matching will be granted on a basket of goods basis, and cannot be combined with other offers or rebates. Shipping is considered part of the price, and as such shipping methods must be the same. We may limit the quantities of price–matched items. In addition, we reserve the right to limit quantities sold to a customer. All price match requests are subject to management approval. Manufacturer's Warranty
Ira Wood & Sons, Inc. only sells high quality products from industry respected manufactures around the world. All products sold by Ira Wood & Sons are covered by the manufacturer’s comprehensive warranty. We have listed many manufacturer warranties on our website. We make every effort to keep these warranties current and up to date, but warranties are subject to change without notice from the manufacturer. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us or the manufacture.
All defective products are subject to a final inspection by the manufacturer. In order for us to honor the manufacturer’s decision, the manufacturer must claim their product defective to replace or refund.
Note: It is the customer’s responsibility to use a licensed plumber/gas company to resolve any Tankless Water Heater issues. For your warranty to be valid installation must be done by a licensed professional. Failing to do so will void the manufacture warranty. Click here to view manufacturer's warranty information

Returns & Exchange Guidelines

Items under $20.00 are considered non-returnable.

Authorized returned stock item products will incur a 25% restocking fee.

Exchanges of stock items will incur a 15% fee. Exchanges of special order items are authorized on a case by case basis and fees will range between 15% - 50%. Exchange order $$ total must be of equal or greater value then items being returned. If exchange order is not immediately placed or returned items exceed $$ of exchange order, remaining refund due will be issued as Ira Wood Gift Card. Gift card can than be applied to future replacement order.

Cancellations on stock item orders that have entered processing will incur a 15% fee.

Special order returns, exchanges & cancellations will incur a 25% -50% fee (Management’s Discretion ).

Un-Authorized returns will incur a 50% return fee.

Some products may be deemed non-returnable (see below).
- In order for an item to be returned you must contact customer service and receive an authorized RMA.
- Request to return after 30 days of delivery may be deemed non-returnable.
- All returns must be insured, and are your property until received back into our warehouse, inspected, and approved for credit. Unauthorized Returns will be refused.
- All returns are subject to management approval.
- Any Factory Outlet/As-Is item purchased from our 620 Salem Drive showroom location is non-returnable.
Return Instructions: To return or exchange any product you must follow these steps. Failure to follow these instructions may result additional fees or a denied claim.

- Contact our customer service department by calling 1-800-472-9923 OR email customer.service@irawoods.com Once submitted a customer service rep will respond to your case as soon as possible ( usually within 3 business days).
- READ Ira Wood & Sons, Inc. Return/Exchange conditions listed below.
- Receive an RGA #, any package without one will be refused.
- Send the package back fully insured, and properly packaged & re-boxed. Do not write directly on the manufacturers box. The RMA number must be placed on the outside of the package (please do not place any stickers on the manufacturing box). Ira Wood & Sons will charge for call tags, unless we are correcting our mistake. You have 10 days to return the product once you receive your RMA. After 10 business days your assigned RMA will expire and your case will need be re-evaluated.
- A credit for your refund will be issued within 5 days of receipt of the return to our facilities. If returned goods are not received, no refund will be issued.
Return/Exchange Terms & Conditions
By submitting a request for Return/Exchange of your items you agree to:
- Customer agrees to pay for the shipping of the items coming back to Ira Wood & Sons, Inc.
- Customer is responsible for fully insuring (for the full purchase price) the items coming back to Ira Wood & Sons, Inc.
- No portion of your original shipping charge is refundable. If you return an item that shipped with “Free Shipping” the shipping amount will be deducted from your credit.
- No portion of your expense to ship the product back to Ira Wood & Sons, Inc. is refundable.
- You will be charged for the shipping of the new item being sent to you.
- You agree that if the item(s) is either damaged in transit (back to Ira Wood & Sons, Inc.) or is deemed by Ira Wood & Sons, Inc. not to be in good resalable condition, that we have the right to refuse the package(s) and refuse the return. This determination is at the sole discretion of Ira Wood & Sons, Inc.
- Merchandise returned must pass inspection of the following criteria: original packaging, all parts, pieces & instruction manuals, and not fall under non-returnable items/conditions. If during inspection it is noted that an item has been installed no refund will be issued.
- When sending a package back to Ira Wood & Sons, Inc., please mark the RGA# on the outside of the box that you send the item(s) back in, not the original manufacturer’s box.
- Please ensure that you package your item(s) per the carrier’s guide lines, so if your package(s) is damaged in transit back to us, you will have a better chance of getting your freight claim accepted by the carrier you chose to send the item(s) back by. From past experience this is VERY important, because if the item(s) are refused by IRA WOOD & SONS INC. due to shipping damage the only means for you to try to get your money back is through a freight claim with the carrier of your choice.
By submitting a request for a RETURN / EXCHANGE of your items it is agreed that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions listed on this page.
Un-Authorized Return
Please note that returning any product without an approved RMA is highly discouraged. Without an approved RMA your product may be refused, possibly misplaced or sent to the wrong receiving location. In the event your product is misplaced or sent to a wrong receiving location you will forfeit your opportunity for refund and Ira Wood & Sons will not be held responsible for locating your product. If we do receive the un-authorized return, a 50% fee will be deducted from your refund.
Non Returnable Items/Conditions Not all items or products are returnable. Consumable and special order items are non-returnable. Discontinued items are non-returnable. All returned products must be in new, resaleable & unused condition.
Ira Wood & Son's will not accept returns on any of the following:

Any Installed Item - Any plumbing or electrical items that have been installed or attempted to be installed.

Food Preparation Items (ex: cutlery, cooking appliances, dishes, etc) This policy is here to protect our customers from potentially receiving used products.

Any items that have been left out in the elements or abused.
Any items that have been damaged by user. Any damaged/defective product not reported to Ira Wood & Sons within 7 days of delivery.
Special Order Policy Any item that you ask us to order, or items that show lead times greater than "usually ships in 1-2 business days" are considered special order. Cancellation Policy If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so before your order is billed & processed. Most orders are billed & processed within 1 hour of submitting. Once the order has been processed, and payment has been accepted, and your order falls under the return/cancellation policy and is subject to a minimum 15% cancellation fee. All custom/special order items are non-cancellable. All special order items are non-cancellable. Please view our returns/exchange/cancellation policy.
Defective/Damaged Product Policy
All items are inspected once returned to our warehouse, and if the item is found non-defective or damaged due to customer misuse the item will be returned to you without credit. If you have received a product that you feel is possibly defective/damaged you must contact our customer service dept. within 7 days of arrival and a case will be opened for you. Defective merchandise will be replaced with same product. If customer chooses not to receive same product refund will be issued as Ira Wood gift card for use on future order.
*In the event a product is damaged by an installer or improperly installed, Ira Wood & Sons Inc. is not responsible for any damage to the product or surrounding area and no refund will be issued.
Shipping Damage
If you receive a product you feel was damaged during shipping please contact Ira Wood & Sons immediately. You have 7 days from delivery to report damage to us. Failure to report shipping damage to us within 7 days of delivery will leave customer liable for damage. We will need you to send us an image and documentation of the shipping damage. We will send you a replacement item as soon as available. NOTE: If your order was delivered via LTL delivery you must either refuse the damaged shipment or sign for the delivery as damaged. If you sign for and accept the delivery without noting damage, Ira Wood & Sons will be unable to offer replacement to you and customer will be liable for all damage.
Miss-Picks & Defects
Please inspect your order within 7 days of arrival to insure proper items, quantities and to be sure all materials are free or defects. Should anything arise please open a support case immediately either via the online form, or by calling customer service. Re-Box Fee If you are returning a product back to Ira Wood & Sons, please do NOT write directly on the manufacturers box. Writing directly on the manufacturer’s box will result in a $25 re-box fee and will be deducted from your refund.

Signature Required Service Request Signature required service if available upon request at no additional charge. If you are uncomfortable with your order being left outside the delivery address please select this service. Ira Wood & Sons leaves this decision up to the customer. Ira Wood & Sons will not be held liable for stolen packages if customer opts out of this service. If your are placing your order online please be sure to check the box labeled "Signature Required". If ordering over the phone, please inform the sales specialist that you would like to mark your order Signature Required. Please note that an adult that is 18 years or older will need to sign for your delivery. We recommend the owner of the order be present so they can inspect the delivery for any possible shipping damage immediately.
Delivery Address Change
Please be advised that there is a fee incurred for address changes once an order is processed. Please enter the correct delivery address as you are entering your order. If a change does need to be made after the order is placed a $15 Ground / $35 LTL fee will be charged.
Rates All rates charged by Ira Wood & Sons are based on freight tables from FedEx, UPS, or USPS. Each item is weighed, and then cataloged into our online store for real-time shipping cost calculations. If you do not specify a preferred freight vendor for your order, the default will be FedEx.
We reserve the right to change the shipping method as long as it offers an equal or better delivery service based upon delivery days. If you need a day and time specific delivery please note this in the comments section upon check-out. We also reserve the right to select a different freight vendor if you do not select a preferred freight vendor.
Shipping Damage
If you receive a product you feel was damaged during shipping please contact Ira Wood & Sons immediately. You have 7 days from delivery to report damage to us. Failure to report shipping damage to us within 7 days of delivery will leave customer liable for damage. We will need you to send us an image and documentation of the shipping damage. We will send you a replacement item as soon as available. NOTE: If your order was delivered via LTL delivery you must either refuse the damaged shipment or sign for the delivery as damaged. If you sign for and accept the delivery without noting damage, Ira Wood & Sons will be unable to offer replacement to you and customer will be liable for all damage.
Motor Freight Deliveries Orders that are too large to ship standard ground delivery will ship via motor freight (LTL). Items that must go motor freight are noted on the item page as oversized. Common companies used to deliver oversized freight include FedEx Freight, UPS Freight, Roadway and Daylight.

The motor freight company will call you to schedule a date and time for delivery. If you should not appear for your scheduled delivery you will be responsible for any shipping fees that may result.
If you are unable to receive your delivery timely and arrange with the motor freight company to have your shipment held/delayed/stored you will be responsible for any shipping fees that may result.
Please inspect your order for damage before accepting/signing. If you find the outside packaging to be damaged, please be sure to note the delivery receipt with description of damage. Please make note of this in the presence of the delivery driver. Please contact us ASAP for further instruction. You must contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Please note that you have the right to open the carton, inspect the damage and note the damage on the delivery receipt. This would be done in the presence of delivery driver. The external damage to the carton must be more that small scratches, dents or other marks on the carton that happen during normal transportation.
Please note that if you need your order by a certain deadline it is recommended that you add an expedited shipping charge to your order. Orders that ship free of charge are given lower priority to orders that have paid shipping.
Tracking Information Shipments sent via UPS, USPS & FedEx will receive tracking information to the email address on the order. You will usually get the tracking info 12-24 hours after the item has shipped. Please do not call the same day the order is placed looking for a tracking number. If you do not receive your tracking email in that time frame please call 1-800-472-9923. Possible reasons you did not receive a tracking email: • Your ISP is blocking the e-mail from FedEx, UPS, and USPS. • You have “junk-mail” filters turned on which are either delivering e-mails to a junk mail folder or is deleting them before you even have a chance to see them. • You inadvertently deleted the notification. • You received your notification but you were looking for the notification from Ira Wood & Sons, Inc. not from Fed Ex, UPS, or USPS. Notifications come from Fed Ex, UPS, or USPS (not Ira Wood & Sons, Inc.) Shipping Quotes If you’d like to get an estimate of what S&H rates will apply to your order, please add all items you’d like to purchase into the shopping cart, go to checkout. Enter your shipping information and select your shipping method. All rates include insurance, and packing costs, should any additional shipping charges be due, you will be notified before shipping. USPS Delivery Note: If you select a USPS delivery method, please allow up to 30 days for delivery. It is not uncommon for the United States Postal Service to have extended delays in delivery service. Shipping Outside United States of America
We typically do not ship outside the United States. In the event Ira Wood does approve to ship an order outside the United States the customer will be responsible for all shipping charges. The customer will also be responsible for any taxes, tariffs & duties involved in shipping their order.
Backorder Shipping Policy Ira Wood & Sons reserve the right to ship backorder items by any means we see fit. Partial Order Shipping Policy Unless specified otherwise, most orders are held for full shipment. LTL Storage
If you are unable to accept delivery of your LTL shipment it is possible for the LTL company to temporarily store your order. It is highly advised that you make immediate arrangements for the delivery of your order. LTL storage is not not negotiated prior to delivery and additional fees will be incurred due to this. Ira Wood & Sons will provide you a quote with the fees associated with this and you will be billed.

If you open an account on our site or make a purchase, we need your contact information including your name, e-mail address and mailing address to complete your transaction.
