Oval Au Gratin 14¼" 3 qt

One of the staples of the Le Creuset cookware collection and in classically-trained chefs' kitchens, is the Oval Au Gratin. Potatoes Au Gratin simply aren't the same baked in anything less than this Le Creuset favorite. Au Gratins are just one of the recipes that cook to perfection in this piece of cookware: be inventive with it by preparing a wide range of dishes from macaroni and cheese to mini lasagnas to Greek spanokopita (cheese pie). And, don't forget desserts! Cobblers brown evenly and will look all the more appetizing when served in this elegant cookware classic.

The wide, shallow shape of these pieces exposes the maximum surface area of the food to the heat source, whether it be all around heat in the oven or under the broiler. They can be used on the stovetop for frying. Also excellent for marinating - the surface will not spoil or discolor. They make elegant serving dishes, too.
