Many modern home theaters have wall-mounted HDTVs or setups designed to maintain an ultra-clean décor. However, you can’t afford to risk exposing your expensive HDTV to dangerous surges and spikes by plugging it directly into a wall outlet. The Monster HTFS 450 features an ultra-compact chassis that’s designed to mount behind your HDTV with the supplied bracket, so it stays completely out of sight while providing advanced surge protection and electronic noise filtering to your HDTV and AV components.

Common power surges, spikes and dips can occur multiple times a day and can easily damage or destroy the delicate digital circuitry in your home theater electronics. However, many ordinary surge protectors use only MOVs (Metal Oxide Varistors) with a limited surge absorption capacity, rated in Joules. If a surge's power exceeds the Joule capacity, any connected equipment is left vulnerable to surge damage.

Unlike ordinary surge protectors, the HTFS 450 also feaures exclusive Dual Mode Plus surge protection circuitry that automatically disconnects AV components from the electricity, isolating them from even very powerful surges and spikes. In addition, Dual Mode Plus sounds an audible alarm that tells you the HTFS 450 has protected your AV system.

The HTFS 450 features comprehensive surge protection on coax connections for complete satellite, antenna, and cable TV line protection.
