Legacy's Management Team brings a combined 47 years experience to the import business. Kevin O'Connor (President), Jerry Sagerdahl (Vice President of Sales), and Richard Mihalik (Vice President of Operations) had been a team for six years prior to founding Legacy Classic Furniture in March 1999. They teamed up with Samuel Kuo of Lacquer Craft and developed a new model of doing import business by offering consolidated containers of mixed products which allows retailers to have "What they want, when they want it".
The Company built a product Line aimed at "Middle America" from a style, price and function story. Then, we built an "Automated" warehouse in China alongside our newest 4 million sq. ft. state of the art manufacturing facility outside Shanghai to service the concept. Finally, we have installed a Logistics system which can give us "availability" information on all inventory for retailers planning and "instant" ordering.
Legacy has come a long way since the first exhibit in April 1999 at the Grandover Resort Complex in Greensboro, NC, where they displayed only two complete collections containing bedroom, dining room, and occasional pieces. The line how has over 25 collections, including the fast growing competitive youth line-Legacy Kids. Such success in a short period of time can be attributed to their knowledge of how to develop a good quality product and how to price it to retail at a high velocity.
With Kevin O'Connor having the vision to create a product line that appeals to everyone, Jerry Sagerdahl selling the product across the country and Richard Mihalik operating a well organized staff, Legacy Classic Furniture is one of the most successful companies in America.
